We finally have our tickets booked for Cuba! This will be the first trip to Cuba for all three of us (Mitzi, Tanya and myself!) Does anyone have any hints, ideas or experiences they want to share with us on their trips to CUBA? I'm so excited I can barely breathe! LOL
Uncle Randy and Aunt Susan have finally made it to Canada! They have unpacked the trucks and placed everything in their house and are now on their way back to the US....we couldn't keep them very long could we? Actually...they are just returning the truck back to Bangor and then coming "home" again!
Got a good report yesterday on Emmalee. God is good. So far reports have come in normal and she went back to school for the first time in three weeks!
Tanner has an appointment with the surgeon to see about his Tumor on March 3. (Incidently...I'll be in Cape Breton that day!)
Selena is 'back to normal'...or as normal as she can be with an Aunt like me! (I'm a poet and didnt' know it! LOL!)
Oh yes....and I finally got my retro cheque....and it's all gone! Woe is me....When does my Income Tax come in? LOL...then maybe I'll go shopping Rachel! :-)
Tomorrow we leave for Saint John and the Cherish Conference...have to spend Friday and Saturday with a bunch of girls! HELP! I'm ready to slap them all ready! LOL
Tanya has her provincial tournament this weekend! They will be in Wolfville. Here's wishing them all games that they win by at least 10 points! :-)
Please keep Bro. Gordie Lewis in your prayers as well as Sis. Della Lewis. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma cancer.
Have a great day all! Talk to you again soon....OH YEAH......and can anyone tell me where I put the luggage tags that Mitzi gave me for Christmas? I can't find them anywhere....and I need them for my trip to Cuba! I'm hoping I didn't throw them out with my gift bag.....

valentines day
Just recently I read someone's blog (I think it was a newspaper columnist). His opinion is that valentines day is a farce. If you can't show your love all year...there's no sense in showing it on one day set aside. I have come to the conclusion that probably holds some truth to it....and then...why bother showing it on valentines day either???? Huh...???? Sorry...Just venting....I have the right to!

It will be a busy week!
This week has started out as a busy week....with concerns...so..I'm gonna share...cause who knows if I'll get another chance this week to blog.
So yesterday, I found out that my nephew, Tanner has a tumor on his left side. He has to see a surgeon. Pray with us for him. I love the little guy. He is 10 and very special to me! Last night they took my neice, Selena, to Out-Patients. She has been throwing up since Saturday morning. The doctor ran some tests and couldn't figure out what was wrong so they sent her to the Summerside hospital to see the Pediatrician. Pray with us for her. Selena is 7 and pretty cute too.....she looks like me! LOL
Tanya had a Regional Game in Alma last night at the Northumberland Regional High School. They won. They score was like 44 to 21. She has another game tonight here at ARHS and then on the weekend in East Hants. Monday night again, they play the same team as last night. Pam came with us to the game last night. I was glad that she came. I enjoy visiting with Pam.
Well...have to run...it is Security Week at work...I'm trying to keep my desk clean! LOL
Have a great week!

3rd blog today! My sign outside my cubicle
I've posted a quote on my whiteboard outside my cubicle....I have had quite a few people stop and read and laugh at it...or give a thumbs up....but It's my story and I'm sticking to it! Here it is!
We all get heavier as we get older because there is a lot more information in our heads...
SO
I'm not fat, I'm just really intelligent and my head couldn't hold anymore..so it started filling up the rest of me!

2nd post today! 10 things I love that start with C
1. I love my Children! I have two of the best children in the world....I know that may be debatable...but I'll win....because I have a bigger mouth than anyone I know...and besides that...I'm just bigger!
2. I love my Cousins! I have some very special cousins that have meant a lot to me through the years and have placed their "footprint" on my life. I honor them!
3. I love Chips! plain, bbq corn chips, s&v, mesquite bbq and sea salt and pepper are my favorites
4. I love Chocolate! Need I say more?
5. I love Cheesecake! Real, "baked in the oven" cheesecake...doesn't even have to be flavored...but I love Sherri Hawkes' pumpkin cheesecake!
6. I love Cheesy jokes! The cheesier the better! LOl
7. I love my Choir...but I'm not that crazy about Choir songs....amazing huh?
8. I love my "Cherubic" friends....Ok...I had to get friends in there somewhere....Cherubic...may be a questionable word...but I still love my friends.....I love friends...who (as Mel describes it) are not High Maintenance! I love my friends who know the song in my heart and can sing it back to me when I have forgotten the words....I love my friends who pray for me and know when I need them or when I need time alone. I love my friends who know when something is wrong...or when everything is right without me telling them. I love friends who expect nothing in return except friendship. I love my Cherubic Friends....Friends like that are "Angel-like" don't you think?
9. I love my Country. I think that it is heading in the wrong direction with regards to God, and that it requires a lot of prayer...but it is still my home and native land.
10. I love Car trips! (and Car trips with my Cherubic friends!)....because I love to shop........you knew that I had to get that in there somewhere too....didn't you!

Forgiveness
I came across this cute story and had to share!
The story is told of a little boy shopping with his mom at the mall. He did well for the first few minutes but soon grew tired of following his mother into stores that were of no interest to him at all. He began to whine and cry, hoping that she would take him home. When that didn't work, he threw a tantrum, complete with screaming, yelling and a mad dash for the nearest exit. It worked! Stuffing a crumpled shopping list into her purse, the little boy's mother grabbed his hand and headed for the parking lot. He was thrilled, anticipating the freedom so close at hand. But as they drove home in tense silence, the realization that he was in serious trouble began to settle around his anxious heart and mind. In an attempt to placate his mother the little boy asked, "Mom, when you do something wrong it's a sin - right?" A stiff nod was his answer. "Mom, my teacher at church said that God loves us even when we do wrong things. That's right isn't it?" With an angry glance, his mother answered, "Yes, son. That is right." He was onto something here -- she spoke! "Mom, my teacher says that when we say we are sorry for the wrong things we do and ask God to forgive us, He takes those wrong things and throws them into the sea. Isn't that neat, Mom?" Through slightly clenched teeth came the answer, "Yes, son. God does love us and forgives us for every wrong thing we do." Several silent moments passed and with a sigh, the little boy surrendered. "Mom, I told God I am sorry for the way I acted at the mall and asked Him to throw those wrong things into the deepest ocean He could find. But I have a feeling that when we get home, you're gonna go fishing in that ocean!"
And by the way...for those of you who are watching for what God is doing....isn't he doing a great job???????? :-)

Winter - I think NOT!
Anyone who knows me is aware that I am cold all the time and I HATE WINTER! The reason that I hate winter has to do with the fact that I am cold all the time and winter is a COLD time! I don't play outside in the cold. I don't sled, ski, ski-doo, skate, walk or anything else that remotely sounds like it could be a sport outside. I run from my house to my vehicle (hopefully it is warmed up), run from my vehicle into the shopping mall or into the church or into work....but that is the limit of my excercise in the winter! Also, in the winter I get sick A LOT (that was for you Manumanum!) :-)! I was sick with the flu on Monday (hence the reason no blog), then yesterday morning I woke up feeling fine...but by noon I was sniffling, had itchy, tired eyes and now I'm sneezing, coughing, feeling like the flu is back and I want to be home in my bed! Oh well, life goes on! and so it does!
I'm really excited that U. Randy and A. Susan are moving back to the Atlantic! I can hardly wait for them to get here!
I want to know how come I'm as poor as a church mouse? I got paid on Wednesday and Wednesday night I had hardly any of my pay left! And today...even less....and for those of you who are wondering...I'm not even eating lunch at Subway! I've been bringing my lunch to work! I really need to get a job! or at least less bills...cause I have a really good job now!
Oh yeah...and God is doing great things...I'm not going to say what it is....because I want it to work out the way that HE wants it too....you'll just have to watch and see!
Oh..and if any of my blog reading friends like to read....I borrowed the book "Marley and Me" from the Library (it may sound familiar to you because it is also a movie that came out at Christmas time!)....the book was laugh out loud funny and bawl out loud sad...and I recommend it to anyone.....(I cried like a baby!)
That is my random thoughts for today...sorry I was late.......Have a wonderful weekend!
