There are a little over 2 sleeps left until I leave for CUBA.....but for those of you who are offended, jealous etc., just wanted to let you know that I am not excited about it and I won't rub it in!
....And....I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell if you are interested!
I'm positive....it's gonna be a great time!

Excitement filled the air
As the countdown to CUBA continues (3 1/4 more sleeps!), I find myself excited about every little task! Let's do this, let's do that....it whiles away the time! I have started to pack my suitcase, however, I am on a fishing expedition for a bigger one...cause I can't fit everything in that I want to take! LOL. Rachel has offered to lend me hers, however, I have to check out how much it weighs because if I can't fit all my stuff in and still be under the 44 lbs....that's no good either! I may have to beg, borrow or steal room in Tanya and Mitzi's suitcases! LOL...they are not clutterbugs like I!
This week the church is encouraging a week of "no negative talk"....so here I go....Think Positive!
I'm positive that on Monday we leave for a week (heading to Cuba)! A manager in my building just came back from the same resort that we are going to. He said the beach was awesome, the rooms were ok, the pools were great and the food SUCKED! So, I'm positive,.......great diet start! :-)....and I'm positive that I'll come back looking like a lobster and feeling great about it! I'm positive that I'm going to enjoy the sunshine and the beach and the great company! I'm positive that when I come back there will still be snow on the ground to greet me and cool me off!
Isn't life great being positive? LOL

24 more sleeps!
24 more sleeps to Cuba all! :-) Cannot wait! I'm so excited....went to the dollar store yesterday and bought MORE things! Hope I have room in my suitcase for my stuff! Bought Tanya a new suitcase too because she broke the handle on her old one on the way home from the Dominican last year!
Last night went to Mark and Mel's for supper! I was having Mel withdrawal because she was gone for a week or so...and then we just hadn't connected since she got back. Mark made some "greek" food and I rolled away from the table about 10 bites too late! LOL. Then he made dessert too! He used Naan bread, Tsatsiki (sp?), greek salad with feta and Pork slovaki (sp?).....it was very messy to eat...but it tasted so good. Mark and I are in agreement that the messiest food to eat is always the best food! Then he made bananas in rum flavoured sauce over ice cream (after he tried to blow up the bananas with a torch! LOL) It was awesome!
Mel and I then went to Superstore and terrorized Phyllis for rain checks! She was only allowed to give us each a raincheck for 6 of the item that we wanted (and we had wanted many more)....Tanya stood up (she had been leaning on the counter), put her hand on her hip and said "I want a raincheck for 6 too!" It was too funny!
Another funny thing that happened yesterday. For the last week or so, on my whiteboard outside my office, I had written the saying "You can think positive or negative and it doesn't cost any more to think positive". Yesterday, I changed the whiteboard to read the following..."I'm positive... Cuba in 25 more sleeps!" A co-worker friend of mine went by and then stopped abruptly and came back to my whiteboard. She started laughing! When I asked her what she was laughing about she advised that when she was going by...all she read was "I'm positive" and she thought that I was pregnant! LOL THIS IS NOT A GOOD THOUGHT folks!
My Manumuman fell yesterday on the ice (on her way to her garage). She said..."one minute she was walking and the next she was laying on her back looking at the heavens". Today she tells me that her left wing is hurting. I told her to think positive....at least it's not her eating wing! LOL ....Hope you're feeling better Manumanum!

Manumanum and I went to Moncton last night. We hit Frenchy's first. I was able to pick up 5 skirts and a top for kids I know. I told Manumanum as we were heading to the cash that there was something wrong with that picture...I don't have any kids between the sizes of 7 and 10...yet everything I bought was that size!
We then went to the Dollarama where I purchased some items to take for gifts when I go to Cuba! It was so much fun and I didn't stop at 14 gifts....so I'm officially over the limit and taking my gifts, Tanya's gifts and Mitzi's! I'll make them pay the peso gifts! LOL
Then Manumanum and I endured the hardship of waiting in line at East Side Marios for 10 or 15 minutes.....We sat down to our meal of 1/4 chicken dinners (hers with pasta and mine with mario potatoes) Of course...we had all you can eat ceaser and garlic bread as well. We rolled out of there and headed to Penningtons! They had a wonderful sale on. All their clearance stuff was 70% off the lowest ticketed price....then they had a scratch card....and we got another 30% off.....So...You would think that we would have gotten it for free! But we didn't! LOL
Well...have to run for now....only 25 more sleeps to CUBA!

Ready to be Committed!
I am so excited about Cuba I can barely breath! I found the elusive luggage tags from Mitzi...they were with all the stuff I have ready for Cuba...imagine that...they were exactly where they should have been! I guess I'm more organized than I realize. Tanya would tell you different and I'm beginning to believe her...but don't tell her that because I hate when she nags me...and she has been doing quite a bit of that lately...it makes her very irratating to live with!
We had a "kinda" "bit" of excitement/expectation....Pamela said that she wanted to come with us...but then she changed her mind...so it is still just the three of us going. I'm happy with that though because we had a blast last time with just the three of us. I'm hearing that a lot of people are going to Cuba in the same number of sleeps that I am ....hopefully they won't be at the same resort....because what happens in Cuba stays in Cuba...right Mitzi? LOL PS....I wonder what the poor people will be doing then?
I still have to go to the dollar store and pick up mine and Tanya's gifts for housekeeping. I have 3 or 4 things already...but I intend to take quite a few things....so off I go shopping....the hardship of it all! LOL
We were without power from around 11 p.m. on Monday evening until about 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. My parents from about 9:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. imagine that! Even my siberian husky wanted to spend the day in the warm bed! I don't like the cold!
Got good news on Tanner - his tumour is "fatty" tissue and will not be removed until such time as it starts to bother him. I have news for him...I'm putting him on a no-fat diet...he can only have lettuce, tomato and cucumber....no more porkchops in coke sauce and potato scallop for him! LOL
Grant has to have hernia surgery...overnight at the hospital and then 1 month off work.....How do you manage that! LOL
Well.....off to the races....have a good day!
