Here we go again!

Has it really been a full week since I have blogged? My goodness time is going fast. I think the older you get...the faster time goes....but I'll have to ask my sister-in-law (Sharon) to be sure...cause she is older than I! LOL (don't anyone tell...but she will be 40 this year!)

Last week was very busy. I didn't go to work last Monday as I wasn't feeling the best. Monday evening was Ladies Committee meeting, Tuesday evening was church, Wednesday was...well...supper out with Manumanum and Naomi, Thursday was Thursday! :-) and on Friday and Saturday I was on the Island for Tanya's basketball tournament.

In the middle of all of this, Phillip's paternal grandfather was very low. He went into the hospital on Monday evening and was put on the ventilator early Tuesday morning. On Thursday around noon the decision was made to remove him from the ventilator. Within 10 minutes Grampy was sitting up and talking to everyone in his room! The Doctor stood in the doorway with his hands on his hips and laughing. He told the family that twice before he has pronounced Grampy dead and both times within a week or so Grampy was on his tractor....so it is up to God! Grampy Allen is 94 years old and very strong willed. We do know that he has cancer in his lungs and only has one lung working and only at 10% now because of the pneumonia. However, God is good and allowed the family all the chance to say goodbye. Phillip and I were in on Friday morning to ICU to see him and Phillip fed him breakfast! He chatted with us and when I went to kiss him on the cheek, he turned his face and kissed me on the mouth! I told him that I would see him later and he said...in the by and by. Grampy wants to go home and he is ready to go...so ...God's timing is best! He is out of ICU and in a regular room now. When we dropped by early this morning he was sleeping soundly.

Tanya's basketball tournament was in Kensington, PEI. Their first game was on Friday evening and they lost by 1 point! Tanya played very well! After I took her to the hotel where the team was staying, I drove up west to my brothers' home and spent the night there. On Saturday morning before heading back down to Kensington for the remaining games, I stopped in to see my grandmother. My grandmother has not known me for about 1-1/2 years now. I miss talking with her very much. When I walked into the nursing home and she spotted me, her face lit up! She said..."Oh, I've been looking for you! I've missed you!". I really think that Alzeimers patients have moments of clarity! She was quite chatty and during our "coversation" she said to me..."I wish Susan were here!" (Susan is her youngest daughter!). I asked her..."What would you do if Susan were here?" She answered me with a big smile, knowing that she was making a joke..."I'd throw her away!".......Further into our visit Grammy asked me where Daisy was. I told her that I didn't know. Later she asked me..."Where is she?"...I asked her "Where is Sandra?" and she answered...."That was my question...that is what I asked you!" (Sandra is her other daughter - my mother). I told my grandmother that I love her and she answered "I love you too! I always have!" Just before I left, Grammy looked at me at said..."I remember you when you're gone!"..... I love my Grammy! She is special to me!

Tanya's first game on Saturday was a huge loss! I can't remember...but they lost by 20 or 30 points! They played the next game back to back...with only a 20 minute break. This final game was also a loss...but they only lost by 7 points. The score was 51 - 44....Tanya got about 14 or 16 of the 44 points! The Island teams were Senior teams...so I think they did very well!

Sunday was "prison day". After church on Sunday morning, a group of us went to the Springhill prison for another service. It was very good with quite a few men in attendance. The presence of God was very real and Manumanum was very annointed by God as she presented what God had given to her for those in attendance!

And today is the start of another week! I'll talk to you more this week...hopefully! Have a great one!
